Colby-Sawyer Charges Past Bay Path 1-0

CHICOPEE, Mass.-  Bay Path University fell 1-0 in a hard fought battle to regional rival Colby-Sawyer today at the Blazer Field in women's field hockey action.  Junior goalkeeper Anna Meyer (Millbrook, N.Y.) faced 17 shots, while tallying 13 saves.

The Chargers lone game winner came in the 47th minute of play with freshman defender Jesse Murch (Waterford, Maine) scored off a well-played penalty corner by Colby Sawyer. Senior defender Hannah Coggins (West Newbury, Mass.) took the corner and passed it to senior forward Nykki Stritzinger (Bel Air, Md.) on the circle who flicked it to Murch for the goal.

Junior keeper Kasey Redmond (Germantown, N.Y.) recorded the victory.

Colby Sawyer is now 2-3, while Bay Path falls to 0-3.
