Chabot & Meyer recognized by NECC Coaches for Player of the Year and Goalie of the Year respectively.

Bay Path University midfielder Katherine Chabot earned Player of the Year Honors and teammate Anna Meyer was named Goalkeeper of the Year in All-Conference balloting by the New England Collegiate Conference Field Hockey coaches. Becker College forward Brittney Bebeau was selected the conference Rookie of the Year, and her coach Jill Powers was selected Coach of the Year.

Chabot, a senior midfielder from Brookfield, Mass., scored four goals and added three assists in conference play. She was the Wildcats main offensive threat, and was frequently double teamed by opponents.

Meyer had an .808 save percentage, allowing only 14 goals in five NECC contests. The junior from Millbrook, N.Y., had a 2.58 goals against average and averaged nearly 12 saves per game. Meyer held down the backfield for the Wildcats who took a very offensive approach, often resulting in fast breaks and advantages by offenses against her.

Bebeau, a Harrisville, R.I. native, scored five goals and added two assists in NECC play. The first-year forward also had two game winning goals in Conference games.

Powers takes home her first NECC Coach of the Year Award in just her second year with the Hawks. She led Becker to a perfect 5-0 NECC record.

Daniel Webster College was voted the Team Sportsmanship Award.
