Wildcats Fall 3-1 in Field Hockey Action

CHICOPEE, Mass. – Despite taking the lead early the Wildcats were not able to solidify the victory today falling 3-1 to Becker College in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) field hockey action today at Leary Field on the Elms College Campus. Freshman midfielder Sabrinna Dubiel (Agawam, Mass.) scored the first goal for the Wildcats at 9:29 on the clock.

Despite the early lead Bay Path was unable to stop Becker from scoring. The Hawks sophomore forward Jocelyn Lebel (Grafton, Mass.) tied the game off a double assist from junior Amy Grenier (Westminster, Mass.) and freshman Samantha Carter (Boothbay Harbor, Maine).

In the 34thminute , Carter would score the third goal and eventual game winner off a cross from  freshman Brianna Kyc (Rockland, Mass.).

Lebel would again find the back of the net scoring the final goal for the Hawks.

Becker improves to 4-14 on the year and 4-4 in the NECC, Bay Path is now 1-10 overall and 1-6 in conference play.
