LONGMEADOW, Mass.- Junior shortstop Lauren Vallee (Bristol, Conn)led her team in their finale home softball double header action against the Wildcats of Wheelock College with a grand slam in the opener of the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) match up. Bay Path played a shortened five inning game to the run rule winning 12-1 and after senior day festivities came out and took the nightcap 9-2. The Maroon Wildcats honored its two graduating seniors Gretchen Hale (Naugatuck, Conn.) and Krystal Fredette (Orange, Mass.).

LONGMEADOW, Mass.- Bay Path University took both games in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) softball double header today against Daniel Webster College. The Wildcats won the opener 9-2 and shut down the Eagles 17-0 in five innings during the nightcap. Bay Path is now 15-15 overall and 7-7 in conference play, while Daniel Webster falls to 5-18 on the season and 1-13 in conference play. Bay Path’s freshman pitcher Felicia Gaillardetz (Londonderry, N.H.) earned the shut-out in the second game leading the way for the Wildcats. She fanned eight batters allowing only two hits; also going a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate adding 1 run and 1 RBI.

LONGMEADOW, Mass.— Bay Path University outscored the Pride of Regis College 13 to 8 in double header action splitting the day falling in the extra inning 6-5 in the ninth and coming back to take the Pride 7-3 in the nightcap. Junior shortstop Lauren Vallee (Bristol, Conn.) once again lead the way for the Wildcats finishing with two homers , two doubles, seven RBI, five runs and five hits. Freshman pitcher Felicia Gaillaredetz (Londonderry, N.H.) was a force in the circle and at the plate going 2-for-3. Gaillardetz picked up the win allowing only three runs on six hits. She fanned seven and walked one for the day.

LONGMEADOW, Mass. – Lauren Vallee (Bristol, Conn.) homered, tripled and drove in two runs, while Madison Goodhart (Pawtucket, R.I.) scattered three runs in seven innings of work and helped her cause with a timely RBI-single to pace the Bay Path University softball team to a 6-3 victory over Mitchell College in the opening game of a New England Collegiate Conference doubleheader at Ryan Field.
Wildcats fall to Nighthawks in Softball NECC Double Header Action

LONGMEADOW, Mass.- Bay Path for the second time in the past week hosted an away game at home to help out their New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) opponents’ the Nighthawks of Newbury who due to weather were unable to use their home field. Unfortunately for the Wildcats, the Nighthawks left with two conference wins. Bay Path lost 5-4 in eight innings in the opener and fell 11-5 in the nightcap today. The Wildcats are now 6-9 on the season and 2-2 in the NECC, while Newbury opened up conference play at 2-0 and are 5-9 overall.

LONGMEADOW, Mass.- The Wildcats hosted the Southern Vermont Mountaineers in a home New England Collegiate (NECC) conference match for Southern Vermont due to poor field conditions. Bay Path who was the visitor for both matches managed to shorten the day winning both games of the double header 10-1 and 10-2 both in five innings due to the mercy rule. The Wildcats are now 6-7 on the season and 2-0 in the NECC, while Southern Vermont drops to 0-4 overall and 0-2 in conference play.
