Day 1- March 13, 2017 - Recap
Game #1- Franciscan University
Bay Path opened their season with a come from behind 9-6 victory over Franciscan University. Bay Path jumped out to a 3-1 lead after the 1st inning before Franciscan scored 4 unanswered runs to take a 5-3 lead into the 6th inning.
Bay Path scored 2 runs with a two-out double by senior, Krystal Fredette to tie the game.
In the 8th inning Bay Path exploded for 4 runs with the big hit being a bases loaded triple by Keyla Oliveras. The"Wildcats" held off "The Barons" with pitcher, So. Madison Goodhart picking up her 1st win of the season.
Next up is Keystone College at 11:30 am.
Game #2- Keystone College
Bay Path dropped the 2nd game of the day 4-2 to Keystone College. Marissa Sarna-McCarthy led the "Wildcats" offense going 4-4 and driving in a run. Keystone went ahead 2-0 in the 4th inning and the score remaind that until thye put 2 more runs on the board making it 4-0. Bay Path got 2 runs in the bottom of the 7th and had runners on 2nd & 3rd but could not get them across. First-year pitcher, Felicia Gaillardetz went the distance striking out 7 in her collegiate debut, she also chipped in with 2 hits.
Bay Path is now 1-1 and plays on 3/14/17 at 11:30 am vs. Sarah LaAwrence and a 3:30 game against Alfred State College.
