1996-97 Bay Path College Basketball Mid-Season Update

The Bay Path College Basketball Team ended the first semester on a positive note by soundly defeating Bradford College 74-52.  This ended a nine game schedule for the semester, which also saw the team finish at 4 wins and 5 losses.  The four wins came at the hands of Landmark College, Simons Rock, Hampshire, and Bradford College.  The team also had a few narrow losses by 2 points to Lesley College and Landmark College.  The four wins also equals the season total of last year, the team still has 11 games remaining.

The team has played well and continues to improve in the following areas: defense, free throws, rebounds, and field goals.  The balanced starting lineup of Jen Kokoski, Bianca Simao, Kristy LaClair, Jaime Martell, and Melissa Palmer has played well together and continue to practice and improve.  The bench players also have seen extensive action and continue to push the starters.  They include: Sara Mimoso, Becca Tatro, Robyn Ricker, Shannon Cooley, and Vicki Lollman.  This year has been filled with fun moments and exciting highlights, the enthusiasm and dedication of the players will make this a very successful season.
