2000-2001 Pre-Season Update

Pre-Season Update

Bay Path College opens the 2000-2001 season with a non-conference weekend of games at home.  Friday, playing host to Simmons College out of Boston, and Saturday, against Vermont Technical College from Randolph, VT.  The Wildcats return 4 players from last years team: Heidi Pero (Dalton, MA), Elizabeth Kopec (Poughkeepsie, NY), Sarah Palanjian (West Springfield, MA), and Gwen Gonyea (Agawam, MA).  Coach Hoyt is excited about the new student-athletes as well and the the prospects for a successful season.

Mid-Season Update

Bay path College has an overall record of 9 wins and 11 losses, the team is 3-7 in North Atlantic Conference play.  Bay Path recently pulled off a 58-54 double-overtime win against Wheelock College.  The Wildcats are currently in 6th place in the North Atlantic Conference.  The Wildcats conclude their schedule this week with games against the top four teams in the NAC.  Two victories will assure the team of at least a 6th place finish.

Final Season Update

Today's game is the final regular season fame for both teams.  The Lasers of Lasell College are looking to finish in 3rd place while the Wildcats will look to finish in 7th place.  The Wildcats come into today's game with a 5-17 overall record and 2-11 in NAC play.  The Lasers are 9-4 in NAC play.  Bay Path is led by Michelle Frett (Groveton, NH) who is 2nd in scoring in the NAC.  Jamie Munson (Gill, MA) is in the top 10 in rebounding in the NAC.  The Wildcats are scheduled to play at Maine Maritime on Wednesday in a NAC Quarterfinal Game.
