ATTLEBORO, Mass. - Eight of the nine sponsored programs were represented on 2009-10 New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Women's Basketball All-Conference Team, it was announced today by Commissioner Del Malloy. In addition to the All-NECC honors, three separate major individual award winners and the team sportsmanship award were also voted upon and selected this week.

CHICOPEE, Mass.--Despite an incredible last game effort by senior forward Jessica Hunt (Madison, Conn.), Bay Path rounded out their 2009-10 campaign with a 60-44 loss to Elms in the final regular season New England Collegiate Conference game. Hunt outscored all players finishing her collegiate career with 25 points and 11 rebounds for her 37 minutes of play.

NASHUA, N.H – In their final regular season tune up before the post-season, the Daniel Webster College women’s basketball team reached the 20-win mark for the first time in program history, posting a 62-40 victory over Bay Path College in a NECC matchup Thursday night at Mario Vagge Gymnasium.

LEICESTER, Mass.-In her final regular season home game senior Shannon Tibbetts (Warren, Mass.) scored 27 points as the Lady Hawks defeated Bay Path College 63-62 in New England Collegiate Conference women's basketball action. Bay Path was led by senior Jessica Hunt (Madison, Conn.), who kept the Wildcats in the game till the end with 27 points and ten rebounds. Christina Calabrese (Hamilton, NJ) added 12 points in the loss.

LEICESTER, Mass. – The Lesley University women’s basketball team ran their win streak to eight in-a-row following a 75-48 victory over New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) opponent Bay Path College on Saturday afternoon. The Lynx improved to 12-8 (11-2 NECC) while the Wildcats fell to 5-16 (2-11 NECC).

SPRINGFIELD, Mass.—Seniors’ trio Christina Calabrese (Hamilton, N.J.), Jessica Hunt (Madison, Conn.) and Kathleen Rodrigue (West Stewartstown, N.H.) helped propel the Wildcats of Bay Path College over the Nighthawks of Newbury College 74=63in New England Collegiate Conference women’s basketball action tonight at the STCC Arena. The senior trio combined for 55 points and 37 rebounds en route to their second conference win.

NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Mitchell College women’s basketball team used stellar team defense to force 32 turnovers in a 61-39 victory over Bay Path College on Tuesday night at the Yarnall Athletic Center.Jessica Hunt (Madison, Conn.) led Bay Path (4-15 overall, 1-10 NECC) with game highs of 20 points and 17 rebounds despite playing the entire second half with four fouls.

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Three Wildcat players hit double –digits Tuesday night as Wheelock College defeated Bay Path College 47-38 in New England Collegiate Conference action. The win improves Wheelock’s record to 3-5 in the NECC and 4-13 overall, while Bay Path falls to 4-14 overall and 1-9 in the conference. Wheelock is currently tied with Newbury College for sixth place in the NECC.

HOLYOKE, Mass.—The Wildcats of Bay Path hosted New England Collegiate Conference rival the Mountaineers of Southern Vermont on their final home game at the Bartley Arena during Senior Night festivities. The Wildcats with the help of three senior members’ guard Christina Calabrese (Hamilton, N.J.), forward Jessica Hunt (Madison, Conn.) and center Kathleen Rodrigue (W. Stewartstown, N.H.) were able to grab their first conference victory in style downing the Mountaineers 55-48 tonight.

HOLYOKE, Mass.—Despite outscoring the Hawks in the second half, the Wildcats of Bay Path were unable to take the lead falling 47-34 to Becker in New England Collegiate Conference women’s basketball action. Senior center Kathleen Rodrigue (West Stewartstown, N.H.) topped Bay Path with nine points and seven boards. Although the Wildcats finished with a loss on the evening they were proud of their fans and fellow student-athletes coming out and supporting their WBCA Pink Zone night for breast cancer awareness.

HOLYOKE, Mass.—The Eagles of Daniel Webster remain at the top of the New England Collegiate conference women’s basketball standings after flying high past the Wildcats of Bay Path with a final score of 80-46. Breaking her previous collegiate career best NECC Rookie of the Week, freshman guard Ariel Guzman (Yonkers, N.Y.) topped all players with 17 points to lead the Eagles to their seventh conference win. Guzman also had five assists and three steals.Bay Path freshman guard Brittney Alexander (Enfield, Conn.) finished with 14 points for the Wildcats. She chipped in four boards, two blocks and two assists.

HOLYOKE, Mass.—Defense was the name of tonight’s New England Collegiate Conference match-up, the Wheelock College Wildcats took advantage of some last minute fouls made by the Wildcats of Bay Path to take the lead and win the game 48-46. Bay Path suffered a key loss in senior forward Jessica Hunt (Madison, Conn.) in the final eight minutes of play after fouling out. Hunt led the Bay Path Wildcats with a double double putting up 14 points and 13 boards. Hunt also pitched in five steals and two blocks.

The Newbury College women's basketball team defeated Bay Path College, 68-40 Tuesday evening. Freshman Catherine O'Connell (Quincy, MA/North Quincy) led all scorers with a game-high 16 points as well as recording her eighth double-double of the season, tallying 11 rebounds in the victory.
