Hook Earns Final NECC Rookie of the Week Honors

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK — Bay Path freshman guard Justine Hook (Berwick, Penn.) scored 18 points and ten rebounds in their final game of the season falling 55-34 to Mitchell. Hook also threw in three assists and one steal. For the week, she shot 35% (6-for-17) from the field, 50% (4-for-8) from behind the arc and 100% (2-for-2) from the stripe.

HOLYOKE, Mass.—Freshman guard Justine Hook (Berwick, Penn.) once again led all players with a game high 18 points and ten rebounds. Senior guard and honoree Katie Begin (Weare, N.H.) chipped in eight points for the Wildcats despite a 55-34 loss to New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) rival the Mitchell Mariners tonight during senior festivities at the Bartley Center also honoring forward Sam Hahn (Hadley, Mass.).

The Bay Path Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) and the women's basketball team hosted a "Pink Zone" game on Thursday, February 10th. The Bay Path effort was conducted in conjunction with the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's (WBCA) "Pink Zone" initiative.

CAMBRIDGE, MA -- A balanced team effort led once again by senior Kaitlyn Wechsler fueled Lesley in its 61-36 victory over Bay Path on Pink Zone night in Cambridge. Wechsler (Merrick, NY/Our Lady Mercy) paced the Lynx with 16 points on 7-10 shooting as Lesley improved to 12-10, 11-4 in New England Collegiate Conference play.

Despite the high scoring game by Hook, Bay Path fell 74-46 to New England Collegiate College (NECC) rival Southern Vermont College tonight at the Bartley Arena in NCAA Division III women’s hoops action. Bay Path Hosted their WBCA Pink Zone night helping support the Kay Yow Cancer Fund for Breast Cancer Awareness.

Newton, MA – The Mount Ida College women’s basketball team opened up a 19-2 run never looking back en route to a 71-41 non-conference victory over visiting Bay Path College Tuesday evening in Newton, Massachusetts. The Mustangs collect their second straight win good for their seventh overall (7-14) and remain at 3-5 in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) standings. The visitors stay winless on the season at 0-22 and stand at 0-13 in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC).

HOLYOKE, Mass. - The Wildcats’ sophomore guard Brittney Alexander (Enfield, Conn.) and the Hawks’ senior forward Heidi Miller (Sanbornton, N.H.) tied for the game high of 14 points apiece. Despite a late surge by the Wildcats to bring the score within three points (49-46) at 5:54 on the clock, Bay Path fell 61-48 to New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) opponent Becker College.
