Wildcats Fall 60-53 to NECC Opponents Lesley Lynx

HOLYOKE, Mass. – Lesley sophomore forward Dakota Jones (Torrence, Calif.) topped all players with a double double scoring 22 points and pulling down 22 rebounds. Bay Path senior Kaylee Herring (Worcester, Vt.) led her team with 15 points, four steals and four boards. Herring nailed three shots from downtown. Lesley managed to hold onto their lead despite a valiant effort by the Wildcats in the second half winning 60-53. The Wildcats outscored the Lynx in the second half 34-to-25.

 

Freshman guard Emmeline Bronson (Shelton, Conn.) wasn't far behind Herring for the Wildcats scoring 12 points, while reservist junior forward Haleigh Bassett (Millers Falls, Mass.) added ten points for Bay Path.

 

Sophomore guard Linda Wallentine (Monroe Township, N.J.) chipped in 12 points for the Lynx.

Bay Path shot 35.3% (24-of-68) from the field, while Lesley fared slightly better, shooting 41.2% (21-of-51).  Lesley won at the charity stripe going 71.4% *(15-for-21).

Bay Path (0-19 overall, 0-12 NECC) will travel to Southern Vermont on Wednesday, February 7th at 7:00 p.m., while Lesley (4-15, 4-7) hosts Becker in a make-up game on Monday, February 5th at 8:00 p.m.
