HOLYOKE, Mass.- Elms College defeated Bay Path University 80-33 in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) women's basketball action today at HCC. Sophomore guard Emmeline Bronson (Shelton, Conn.) led all players with 21 points despite the hard loss. Bronson went 13-for-17 from the charity stripe.
Elms managed to play their entire roster with all players scoring. Leading the way for the Blazers was junior guard Molly Moulton (North Adams, Mass.) scoring 15 points. Sophomore center Angelica Peguero-Flores (Springfield, Mass.) finished with 12 points and nine rebounds. Coming off the bench junior guard Shannon Cullen (Brookfield, Conn.) added ten points.
Senior forward Samantha Drapinski (Malden, Mass.) led the way under the net with ten rebounds for the Wildcats. Fellow senior guard Jo Nazario (Springfield, Mass.) added six points and eight boards.
Elms is now 69-8 overall and 5-5 in the NECC, Bay Path is 1-13 on the season and 0-9 in league play.
