Athletics: Fall Season Wildcat Wrap-up

This fall athletics season has marked many ups and downs as are usual for the world of athletics. With the end of the season All-NECC Conference Selections and awards out, several of our Bay Path Wildcats were honored.
Wildcats Take 5th and Earn Sportsmanship Award at 2011 NECC XC Championships

NASHUA, N.H. – Lesley University captured both the men’s and women’s cross country New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Championship Saturday at a chilled Mines Falls Park, hosted by Daniel Webster College. Bay Path finished fifth out of eight teams while earning the Women's Sportsmanship Award
Brown Leads the Way for Bay Path at WNE Invitational

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Bay Path raced in the Western New England University Invitational held Saturday, Oct. 15, on WNE campus. There were 191 female harriers and 19 teams.
Bay Path Races in 2011 Early Invitational Hosted by Westfield State

WESTFIELD, Mass. – Bay Path participated in the16th Annual James Earley Invitational held Saturday, Oct. 8, at Stanley Park. There were 354 female harriers and close to 40 teams.Leading the way for the Wildcats as the second NECC runner to cross through the chute was junior Danielle Brown (Nashua, N.H.) with a time of 24:12.54 (233rd).
Bay Path Places 7th in St. Joseph Cross Country Invitational

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – American International College took top honors at the 4th Annual Blue Jay Invitational 5K race on Saturday morning in muddy wet conditions for the cross country race. Two Wildcat harriers broke into the top 25 including freshmen Olivia Bis (South Wildsor, Conn.) and Jessica Fields (Enfield, Conn.)
Bay Path Races in 2011 Elms College Invitational

CHICOPEE, Mass.- Bay Path raced in the 2011 Blazers Invitational hosted by NECC opponent Elms College finishing 13th with a team score of 324 with Salve Regina taking top honors with a team score of 31 points. Bay Path beat their previous races score by over 100 points. The Wildcat harriers broke some season best times while facing over 141 runners at the Chicopee Memorial State Park course.
Bay Path Races in 2011 Smith College Invitational

NORTH HAMPTON, Mass.- Bay Path raced in the 2011 Smith College Invitational finishing 14th with a team score of 454 with Wellesley College taking top honors with a team score of 29. Freshman Olivia Bis (South Windsor, Conn.) once again led the Wildcats in the 5K race with a team highest time of 28:00.29 for 146th place out of 181 harriers tallying 87 points.
Bis Leads the Way for Bay Path in Season Opening Race at Vassar

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y.- The Wildcats of Bay Path opened up the 2011 season travelling to New York for their first 5K at the Vassar College Invitational. Freshman harrier Olivia Bis (South Windsor, Conn.) led the way for the Wildcats finishing in 94th place taking the 63rd spot with a time of 28:06. Bay Path finished 11th with a team score of 330.
Lesley Unanimous Selection to Claim Women's Cross Country Title

Lesley University was the unanimous selection to claim the NECC women's cross country title this year in a vote of the conference coaches. The NECC defending champs earned 64 points and eight first place votes.
