Bay Path University is pleased to announce the hiring of David LaPorte as the new Head Women's Soccer Coach beginning with the 2025 season.  "We were pleased with the experience and passion that Coach LaPorte expressed during the hiring process, his experience helped him stand-out," said Steve Smith, Director of Athletics. "Coach will get started immediately to get the team ready for the Fall 2025 campaign and return the team to a competitive program" per Smith.

Coach LaPorte will begin a process of rebuilding a once highly successful soccer program this fall through the commitment of current soccer student-athletes and new fall 2025 recruits. "I couldn't be more excited to start and to help bring soccer back at Bay Path." said LaPorte.

LaPorte began his coaching career in 1997 coaching at Rockville High School, He then was an Assistant Soccer Coach at Wesleyan University. He has had high school coaching stops at Tolland, Bolton, Ashford, Parish Hill before spending eight seasons at Ellington High School with a 2022 Class L Final Four appearance. 

"Coach LaPorte is a 1994 graduate of Central CT State University earning a degree in Education and a minor in Social Studies. During his academic pursuits, he earned his B level license from the US Soccer Coaching Education program. He is also a certified US Soccer official for club and high school level matches."
