ACPHS Cruises Past Bay Path

The ACPHS women's basketball team forced 29 turnovers as the Panthers defeated Bay Path College by a score of 70-45 on Thursday night in Albany. With the victory, the Panthers improve to 4-2 on the young season.

Alyson Johnson (Malone, NY, Franklin Academy) scored 14 points, grabbed seven rebounds and also added three blocked shots as ACPHS overcame a slow start to earn the victory. Continuing her strong start to the season, Taylor Sullivan (Troy, NY, Hoosic Valley) scored 12 points and had six rebounds while Katie McCormack (Proctor, VT, Proctor) was the third Panther in double-figures, scoring 10 points.

With just over seven minutes to play in the opening half, Bay Path scored on a layup to even the score at 15. For the remainder of the half, the Panthers went on a 17-2 run to ultimately put the game out of reach as they took a commanding 32-17 into halftime.

ACPHS next travels to face off against SUNY-Institute of Technology on Saturday before finishing off the first semester on Sunday as they host SUNY-Canton on Sunday at 2:00 PM.
