Blazers Roll Past Wildcats

Hoyloke, MA – The Elms College women's basketball team picked up a New England Collegiate Conference road win on Tuesday night over Bay Path University. The Blazers controlled the Wildcats for four quarters in the 84-40 win. Elms improves to 5-10 overall and 2-3 in NECC play.

The Blazers held a two point advantage (10-8) at the 5:32 mark of the opening quarter, and went on an eight point run fueled by Daija Black (Germantown, MD) extending the lead to 10 (18-8) and would never look back. Elms dominated the second quarter, outscoring the home side (25-8), and took a comfortable 26 point lead into the break.

Elms continued to dominate the action, taking the third quarter (20-6) extending the lead to 40. The fourth quarter saw the Blazers push the lead to 44 and take the conference game (84-40).

The Blazers had four different players in double figures. Regina LeBlanc (Enfield, CT), Angelica Peguero-Flores (Springfield, MA), and Rachel Granger (Hampden, MA) all finished with 12 points each. Lashaunte White (Miami, FL) picked up 10 points in the win.

The Blazers host New England College on Saturday 1/18 at 1PM in NECC action.
