CHICOPEE, Mass. - September 20, 2015 - The Colby-Sawyer field hockey team won its third straight game on Sunday with a 3-0 victory over Bay Path. The Chargers did not allow a shot in the game.
Colby-Sawyer improves to 4-3 and will host Daniel Webster on Wednesday. Bay Path falls to 0-4.
The Chargers were in control from the opening whistle out-shooting the Wildcats 22-0 in the game. Colby-Sawyer also had a 24-0 advantage in penalty corners.
Sophomore
Paige Viens (Middlebury, Vt.) opened the scoring at the 19 minute mark with an unassisted goal giving her three tallies on the season.
The Chargers added two more goals in the second half off the sticks of freshmen
Jordan Teixeira (Exeter, N.H.) and
Sierra Schuster (Hopkinton, N.H.). Sophomore
Kaytlynn Kenney (Newport, N.H.) and senior
Courtney Andrews (Bennington, Vt.) earned the assists.
Senior
Jodi Dumayne (Claremont, N.H.) did not face a shot and earned her third shutout of the season.
