MCLA splits non conference Tri Match
Holyoke, MA- The MCLA Trailblazers swept Curry College before falling to host Bay Path this afternoon in a non conference Tri Match held at Holyoke CC. The Trailblazers are now 9-17 overall.
MCLA defeated Curry 3-0, before dropping an identical decision to the hosts in the nightcap to Bay Path.
In the opener, MCLA won convincingly by scores of 25-13, 25-14, and 26-24 to close out the Colonels. Angelica Perfido led MCLA with 10 kills and 14 Digs in the win. Brittany Kish added a match high 28 assists, while Kelley Bryant had a team high 15 Digs.
In the nightcap against Bay Path, MCLA was taken in three sets by scores of 25-23, 25-22, and 25-14. Perfido once again led the Trailblazers with a team high 9 kills and 12 digs. Bryant was stout defensively again collecting 15 digs. Julia Christian chipped in with 7 kills and 10 digs.
The Trailblazers will close out the regular season this week with a pair of non conference matchups. They will travel to Cobleskill on Wednesday before hosting SUNY-IT on Saturday.
