Wildcats Fall 1-0 to Hawks in Field Hockey Action

CHICOPEE, Mass.- Despite a 1-0 loss, the Wildcats of Bay Path College played a great game against New England Collegiate Conference former perennial powerhouse Becker in women's field hockey today at Blazer Field on Elms campus. Junior keeper Anna Meyer (Millbrook, N.Y.) faced nine shots with six saves for the contest.

The Hawks lone goal and eventual game winner came at 42:38 on the clock when freshman forward Sara Rego (Bethel, Conn.) found the back of the net off a freshman midfielder Jocelyn Cornish (Wilmington, Mass.) pass.

Despite a valiant effort by the Wildcats, and four shots, two shots by freshman midfielder Angela Younger (Charlemont, Mass.) they were unable to convert any of their shots to goals.

Becker is now 3-11 on the season and 2-0 in conference play, Bay Path is 0-11 and 0-2 in conference play.
