Wildcats Shut-Out Pride 1-0

LONGMEADOW, Mass.-  The Wildcats of Bay Path University shut-out the Pride or Regis College 1-0  in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) for the first time in the Wildcats eight year history.  Bay Path is now 3-6 overall and 2-3 in the NECC; while Regis falls to 5-7 overall and 3-2 in conference play. Senior goal keeper Anna Meyer (Millbrook, N.Y.) earned her first shut-out on the season with 14 saves facing 15 shots for the contest.

Bay Path's lone goal and eventual game winner came at 30:14 in the first half. After a penalty corner from sophomore defender Casey LaMotte (Enfield, Conn., ) the Wildcats strung together a few great passes with junior forward Jennifer Dawson (Buckland, Mass.) scoring the game winner.  Senior defender Elizabeth Deane (Agawam, Mass.) recorded the assist.

Regis' freshman Yvonne Abate (Easton, Mass.) led the way for the Pride with eight shots, seven on goal. Senior goalkeeper Raegan Heck (Phillipston, Mass.) suffered the loss with two saves.
