Day 2- March 14, 2017 - Recap
Game #1- Sarah Lawrence College
Bay Path opened Day 2 with an 8-2 win over Sarah Lawrence College at the Fastpitch Dreams Classic. Bay Path was down early after 2 innings but scored the next 8 runs to take the game and improve pitcher, Madison Goodhart's record to 2-0. She pitched a complete game while striking out 6 batters.
The offense was led by First-year players, Kiley Bissell with 2 hits and an rbi and Taylor Feraco who had a double and 2 rbi's. Bay Path improves to 2-1 and next up is Alfred State College at 3:30 pm.
Game #2- Alfred State College
Bay Path followed up game 1 with another win in the evening, the game was pushed back to 5:30 pm due to the weather. The "Wildcats" again got behind 2-1 again but expleded for 13 unanswered runs over the next 4 innings to put the game away. Offensively the "Wildcast" were led by Keyla Oliveras who had 4 hits, 4 runs and 5 stolen bases, Lilly West who had 3 hits and 4 rbi's and Jailinne Ruiz who also had 3 hits and 3 runs.
First-year pitcher, Felicia Gaillardetz went the distance striking out 6 to get her first collegiate win.
Bay Path is now 3-1 and plays on 3/15/17 at 9:30 am vs. SUNY-Canton and 11:30 am vs. Wisconsin-Stout University
