Wildcats Take Two Over Northern Vermont-Johnson

LONGMEADOW, Mass.—  Bay Path took two over Northern Vermont-Johnson.

Senior pitcher Maddie Goodhart (Pawtucket, R.I.) led the Wildcats in the circle shutting down the Badgers in five innings with Bay Path winning 12-0. Goodhart allowed only one-hit ; while fanning ten batters and walking one for the opener.  She also had one hit in the game.

The Wildcats were led by senior catcher Katrina Peck (Newington, Conn.) and sophomore infielder/ pitcher Kayla Vance (Clifton, N.J.) who each tallied three RBI. Peck went 2-for-2 with one run, while Vance went 1-for-1 with three runs.  Both tallied doubles.

The Badgers junior infielder Kimberly Reville (Burke, N.Y.) had the lone hit.

The Wildcats won the nightcap 7-1. Vance earned the win going seven innings allowing only one run on two hits. She struck-out five batters.  Once again Peck led the way for the Wildcats at the plate going 2-for-2 with three runs.  Three other Wildcats had multiple hits for the contest.

Goodhart, sophomore outfielder Camille Keith (Pawtucket, R.I.) and senior outfielder Marissa Sarna-McCarthy (Southampton, Mass.) all added two hits; while Sarna-McCarthy had two RBI.

Senior hurler Emily Marshall (Malon, N.Y.) led her team with one hit and one run. She also went six innings while recording six strikeouts.

Bay Path is now 5-11 overall, while Northern Vermont-Johnson falls to 3-13. The Wildcats will travel to Pine Manor tomorrow for another doubleheader, the Badgers play on Sunday, April 14 at SUNY Canton.
