Bay Path Cruises Past Hampshire

HOLYOKE, Mass.-  Bay Path College defeats Hampshire College 84-33 today at the Bartley Center in today's women's basketball action. Senior guard Justine Hook (Berwick, Penn.) led all players with 19 points including nailing 5-for-7 from behind the arc. Following close behind was freshman guard Aaliyah Gordon (Springfield, Mass.) with 18 points while adding six rebounds and eight steals.

The Wildcats started off strong taking the early lead with Hook nailing two consecutive treys after the jump. Bay Path continued to consistently shut-down Hampshire heading into the locker room with a 29 point lead (43-14). Hook also finished with five assists and five steals.

The "Frogs" were led by sophomore forward Monica Soto (Boston, Mass.) with 12 points. Hampshire teammate Alissa Graf followed with eight points.

All nine Wildcats contributed including 28 points from the bench. Freshman forward Briana Kujawski (Webster, Mass.) finished with nine points. Sophomore center Gladys Reed (Hampden, Conn) had eight rebounds and five points, while sophomore forward  Leshawnda Underwood (Holyoke, Mass.) and freshman guard Brenna Roy (Stafford Springs, Conn.) each tallied seven points.

Junior forward Katherine Chabot (Brookfield, Mass.) also had nine points. Senior forward Kayla Skiffington (East Longmeadow, Mass.) topped all players under the boards with nine rebounds while adding six points. Rounding out the starting five, senior guard Jessica Santiago (Holyoke, Mass.) had four points.

Bay Path is now 1-3 on the season, while Hampshire is 0-5. Bay Path will be back in action on Monday, November 25th at 8:00 p.m. hosting Pine Manor.
