Bay Path Falls to Wheelock in Conference Action

HOLYOKE, Mass.- Bay Path fell 73-47 in New England Collegiate Conference(NECC) Action tonight to the Wildcats of Wheelock College in women's basketball action. Junior forward Dallas Jackson (Springfield, Mass.) and point guard Kaylee Herring (Worcester, Vt.) each contributed 12 points, while Jackson finished with a double double adding 12 rebounds.

Topping all players was junior forward Michelle Woods (Wilmington, Mass.) scoring 18 points. Wheelock had four players including Woods notch double digits. Freshman forward Katie Walsh (Islip, N.Y.) finished with 13 rebounds and eleven points. Junior forward Kayla Corshia (Medway, Mass.) had 12 points while junior guard Brianna Hochwarter (Attleboro, Mass.) finished with 11 points.

Bay Path held their own in the first two quarters heading into the halftime break with a score of 32-31 only being down one points. Unfortunately, Wheelock came out of the break ready to play outscoring the Wildcats scoring 24 points in the third quarter holding Bay Path to only six points,

Senior center Elizabeth Haylette (Terryville, Conn) tallied seven points and six rebounds. Junior guard Brenna Roy (Stafford Springs, Conn.) chipped in nine points and five boards.

Bay Path is now 3-4 on the season and 0-2 in the NECC. Wheelock advances to 6-2 overall and 2-1 in conference play.
