Nichols College defeats Bay Path 5-1 in soccer action.

LONGMEADOW, Mass. – In an evenly played 55 minutes of the teams exchanging goals and field position it took just a 10 minute push by the Bisons to open the game up and take a quick 3-1 lead and they never looked back in the win.  First-year forward Taylor Patitucci (South Windsor, Conn.) earned the hat-trick in helping the Nichols College Bisons top Bay Path 5-1 at Ryan Field.  

Brianna D'Astous (Chesterfield, Mass.) netted the only goal for the Wildcats just five minutes into the 2nd half, tying the game at one. Joanna Feliciano (Springfield, Mass.) assisted on the goal.

 

Senior starting goalkeeper Caitlyn Esposito (East Haven, Conn.) suffered the loss with seven saves.

The Bisons sophmore goalie Olivia Marcantoio (North Smithfield, RI) earned the win with 5 saves facing 14 shots; 6 on goal.

Bay Path is now 6-5-0 on the season, while Nichols College improves to 10-3 overall. The Wildcats will be back in action on Saturday, October 12th playing NECC opponent Dean College at 10:00 a.m.
