Elms beats Bay Path 2-0 in NECC Action

LONGMEADOW, Mass. – Bay Path started out fast with a couple of opportunites but were unable to put them in the net.  Elms College broke through late in the first half on a goal by Jordan Bailey (Monson, Mass.) to open the scoring.  Morgan Foucault (Putnam, Conn.) of Elms scored the second goal to extend the lead.  the teams exchanging goals and field position it took just a 10 minute push by the Bisons to open the game up and take a quick 3-1 lead and they never looked back in the win.   

Haley Richard (Monson, Mass.) chipped in with two assists for Elms College.

Senior starting goalkeeper Caitlyn Esposito (East Haven, Conn.) suffered the loss with 8 saves.

The Blazers goalie Rebecca Molin (West Hartford, Conn.) earned the shutout win with 5 save.

Bay Path is now 8-8 on the season and 2-5 in NECC action, while Elms College improves to 10-7-2 overall and 5-1-1 in the NECC.  Both the Wildcats nnd Elms now wait to see there pairings in the NECC Championships which begins on Saturday, November 2, 2019
