Bay Path College Beats Becker College 9-0 in NECC Conference in Women's Tennis 

LONGMEADOW, Mass.- Bay Path College swept Becker College 9-0 Saturday in the NECC action.  Bay Path was led by senior Symone Watson (Hamden, Conn.). who beat Becker #1 sophomore  Cameron Murphy (Weymouth, Mass.) 6-1, 6-3.  Sophomore Brittany Walsh (North Smithfield, R.I.) also went undefeated on the day taking the #3 singles 6-2, 6-2 from Becker's sophomore Kerry Saltvick (Bakersfield, Calif.). Walsh also partnered with sophomore Taylor Wood (Castleton, N.Y.) in the #3 doubles winning 8-3. 

 

#5 Wildcat's sophomore Wood beat Lily Woodward-Logan (Berkeley, Calif.) in singles 6-3, 6-3.

 

Junior Stephanie Morin (Springfield, Mass.) also won both matches at #2 singles over sophomore Anna Pilip (New Britainl, Conn.)  6-2, 7-5 and teamed with Watson at #1 doubles 8-0.

 

Senior Teanna Montoya (Edgartown, Mass.) and partner junior Abigail Janneke (Waterbury, Conn.) won at #2 doubles over Woodward-Logan & Chenvile Mercado (Tyngsborough, Mass.) 8-3.  Each also won their singles match with Montoya winning 7-6 (7-2), 6-0 and Janneke winning 6-0, 6-0.

 

Bay Path will be back in action on Saturday, October 5th at Regis College at 1 pm.  Becker hosts Mitchell on October 9 at 3 pm.
