Regis' Lord, Lesley's Kiddie Lead 2014 NECC Women's Tennis All-Conference Team
Lord was selected by the coaches in the Conference as the Player of the Year. The Fall River, Mass., native compiled a 5-2 NECC record at the number one position for the 2014 NECC champion Pride. She was also 1-0 at number three singles in Conference play. Lord, along with doubles partner Jewel Medeiros, was also a first-team doubles selection. The pair had a 4-1 NECC record at number one doubles.
Kiddie was named Rookie of the Year. She compiled a 7-1 singles record at the number 1 flight during the NECC season. Kidde, a native of Scituate, Mass., was also the only player in the league to be named to the NECC Championship All-Tournament Team at both singles and doubles. Kidde and doubles partner Carlyn Baker were undefeated at the top doubles flight throughout the NECC regular season, and were a first team doubles pick.
Regis College coach John Ciarleglio was selected as the NECC Coach of the Year. Ciarleglio guided the Pride to an undefeated Conference season (8-0) and also swept through the Conference Tournament. The 2014 title was the third consecutive NECC championship for Regis.
Becker College was voted the 2014 NECC Women's Tennis Sportsmanship Award.
