Wildcats beaten 9-0 by Becker College in NECC Tennis action
LEICESTER, Mass. --- The Becker College women's tennis team picked up their second win of the season on Thursday afternoon at the Leicester Middle School tennis courts, sweeping visiting Bay Path College, 9-0.
The Hawks of Becker are now 2-0 and 1-0 against NECC opponents. It was the first match of the season for the Wildcats of Bay Path.
Senior Jennifer Lord (Fall River, Mass. / BMC Durfee) won at number one singles, 6-0, 6-1, after teaming with junior Jacqueline Andrade (Somerset, Mass. / Bishop Stang) for an 8-0 victory at the first doubles spot. Andrade took the win a two singles, 6-0, 6-2.
Up next for Becker, the Hawks play host to Clark University next Thursday at 3:30 p.m. Bay Path, meanwhile, hosts Lesley University on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.
