Wildcats March Past Colonels 3-1

MILTON, Mass. – The Curry College Women's Volleyball team put forth a competitive effort against visiting Bay Path College, but fell short with a 3-1 final on Friday evening in Milton. The set scores were 28-26, 25-15, 23-25 and 25-20. The Wildcats improved to 11-8, while the Colonels fell to 4-15.

The first set came down to the final points, as Bay Path pulled away to win by two points. The Wildcats took set #2 by 10 points, but Curry responded with a two-point victory in the third set. In the fourth set, Bay Path won by five points to clinch the match.

The Wildcats were led by senior Nadine Harkless (Westfield, Mass.) with a match-high 26 digs, to go along with a team-high 15 kills. Junior Ashley Provost (Ludlow, Mass.) dished out a match-high 33 assists. Harkless and Provost recorded five service aces apiece, tying for the match-high. Senior Vanessa Chaplin (Attleboro, Mass.) and freshman Allie Esquivel (Irving, Texas) had nine and eight kills, respectively.

Freshman Courtney DiBiasio (Coventry, R.I.) led the Colonels with a match-high 18 kills. She also added 18 digs. Junior Kendra LeMay (Chicopee, Mass.) contributed with seven kills and two service aces. Sophomore Tyla Miller (Marshfield, Mass.) recorded a team-high 25 digs.
