Wildcats Continue Streak with Major Conference Win over Daniel Webster

HOLYOKE, Mass.- The Wildcats continue their four match winning streak defeating both the 2010 and 2009 NECC women's volleyball champions in Lesley last week and Daniel Webster tonight 3-1. Bay Path quickly took the lead taking the first two games 25-17 and 25-23. The Eagles prevented the three game sweep winning the third game 25-18, with a heated fourth game battle of the Wildcats taking the match point 26-24.

Senior middle hitter Nadine Harkless (Westfield, Mass.) led all hitters with 20 kills for a .333 attack percentage.  Harkless also added 12 digs and three block solos.  Fellow senior Vanessa Chaplin (Attleboro, Mass.) finished with a .308 attack percentage and seven digs and three aces.  Junior setter Ashley Provost (Ludlow, Mass.) had 25 assists, six digs and two kills.

Freshman Allie Esquivel (Irving, Tex.) added five kills, four digs and two aces.  Fellow freshman Kacie Bayreuther (East Lyme, Conn.) finished with six digs and three kills with a .250 attack percentage. Bay Path's final starter junior rightside hitter Dalila Cardona (Windsor, Conn.) had two assists and a dig playing her first full match this season.

Bay Path will be back in action Saturday, October 22^nd at first year NECC member Regis for a noon start.
