Bay Path Falls 3-1 in Women’s Volleyball Action

HOLYOKE, Mass.- Sophomore middle hitter Elizabeth Haylette (Terryville, Conn.) led the Wildcats with eleven kills hitting .261 for the match. Despite the late surge by Bay Path, the Blue Jays of University of Saint Joseph managed to keep the lead and win the match in four games 25-22, 25-12, 23-15 and 27-25.

The Blue Jays were led by junior outside hitter Ciara Perez (Manchester, Conn.). Perez topped all players with 15 kills. She had one dig shy of a double double also notching four service aces. Fellow junior and setter Megan Williams (Lakeville, Conn.) had 32 assists. The junior Libero Elizabeth Tuazon (Mystic, Conn.) led her team with eleven digs.

Haylette along with senior outside hitter Kate Bartels (Dalton, Mass.) led the Wildcats offense. Bartels finished with seven kills adding eleven digs and four service aces. Junior Libero Kacie Bayreuther (East Lyme, Conn.) topped all players with 16 digs.

The Wildcats are now 1-5 on the season, while the Blue Jays advance to 2-4 overall.
