Wildcats Win Second Game of the Year in Victory over Lynx

POULTNEY, Vt. – Bay Path emerged victorious in the third match of the day against NHTI when the Wildcats pulled out a five-set win over the Lynx 3-2 in women's non-conference volleyball action on Saturday afternoon at the Eagle Dome.

Bay Path (2-17, 0-4 NECC) received a pair of 12 kill performances from Kate Bartels and Elizabeth Haylette in the victory.  Bartels also added a match-high 27 digs, while Haylette dug up 16 attacks of her own along with five total blocks.  Kacie Bayreuther also had a nice overall game for Bay Path with eight kills and 25 digs.  Aaliyah Gordon drove the offense with 33 assists.

NHTI (9-15, 2-4 YSCC) was led by Victoria Spencer's 17 kills and 22 digs.  Her performance was balanced by Caitlyn Howard and Elisabeth Stiles who each put down seven attacks, with Howard adding 21 digs.  Amber Rodney steered the offense for the Lynx with her 26 assists and added three service aces..

NHTI will play Castleton in the next match scheduled for 4 pm, while Bay Path will play host Green Mountain in the fifth and final match of the day at 6 pm.
