Lynx Claw Past Wildcats 3-0 in Conference Volleyball Action

HOLYOKE, Mass.-  Bay Path University hosted Lesley University in a New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) match where the Lynx downed the Wildcats in three games 25-17, 25-13 and 25-12. Senior Libero Kacie Bayreuther (East Lyme, Conn.) led the way defensively topping all players with 15 digs for the match.

Junior defensive specialist/ outside hitter Melisa Randall (Fremont, Calif.) finished with 10 kills for the Lynx hitting .348 for the day. Freshman outside hitter Anni Abbruzzese (Croton on Hudson, N.Y.) tallied nine kills, while junior middle hitter Anthea Rathjens (Sudberry, Mass.) swung her way to a .600 attack percentage with six kills.  

Freshman outside hitter Lauren Vallee (Bristol, Conn.) led the Wildcats with six kills and pitched in seven digs. Junior middle hitter Elizabeth Haylette (Terryville, Conn.) had 4 kills, six digs and three block assists.

Lesley is now 11-3 overall and 4-0 in the NECC, while Bay Path is now 3-16 on the season and 0-5 in conference play.
