EAST LONGMEADOW, Mass.- Freshman middle hitter Lydia Clifford (Coventry, R.I.) topped all players with 12 kills with a .219 attack percentage despite a 3-1 loss to New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) opponent Becker College Hawks today with the game scores 25-20, 25-6, 20-25 and 25-20. Sophomore setter Latonia Hornsby (Springfield, Mass.) finished with a double double topping all setters with 21 assists, while adding 14 digs.

Becker was led by Kayla Dupree (North Bergen, N.J.) with nine kills, three digs and two block assists. Defensively, three Hawks tallied double figures in digs including senior outside hitter Veronica Patela-Quinones (Tampa, Fla.) with 13, junior outside hitter Sofia Cullina (Deep River, Conn.) with 12 and freshman Libero Joanna Bampi (Peabody, Mass.) finished with eleven digs. Patela-Quinones also had six aces, four kills and two block assists.

Junior setter Olivia McGuinness (Colchester, Conn.) had 19 assists, six service aces and five digs.

Senior setter/outside hitter Lexi Cears (Agawam, Mass.) chalked up eleven digs, six kills and five assists. Senior Libero Joanne Nazario (Springfield, Mass.) had a match high 18 digs.

Bay Path falls to 6- 9 on the season and 2-2 in conference play, while Becker advances to 6-6 overall and 1-2 in the NECC.
