SUNY-Cobleskill wins over Bay Path in NCAA Volleyball action 3-0

East Longmeadow, Mass: The Bay Path University Volleyball Team was defeated by SUNY-Cobleskill on Thursday, 9/19/19 during non-conference play at the First Baptist Gym.  

 THE Match BASICS:

- Date: 9/19/2019

- Score: SUNY-Cobleskill 3, Bay Path 0,  Set scores (25-13, 25-11, 25-14).

- Records: Bay Path 1-7, SUNY-Cobleskill (5-3)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  SUNY-Cobleskill came out with big leads in each of the three sets and Bay Path had to play catch up wihtout much success in keeping he score close.  The dominant hitting and defense by the Fighting Tigers set the tone for the match. 

- For the Wildcats, Marissa Courchesne (Belchertown, Mass.) led her squad in kills with 6 for the match.  Khyarah Gaston-Feliciano "Kiki" (Holyoke, Mass.) contributed with 10 assists and 6 digs in the match for Bay Path.  

-  Freshmen Regan Hubner (Millers Place, NY) led both teams with a match high 11 kills and .714 attack percentage, Mikayla Catherman (Marcellus, NY) had 22 digs for SUNY-Cobleskill.

- Setter Maleigha Elithrope (Cazenovia, NY) had 30 assists in the match.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

-  Cobleskill finished on more kill opportunities than the Wildcats by a margin of 36-16.

-  The Fighting Tigers also held the high in assists and digs with 34-15 in assists and 56-39 in digs.
