Why did you come to Bay Path?

I came to Bay Path because I knew that I would be given countless opportunities. I found out about Bay Path at a college fair of hundreds of colleges. I had never heard of BPC but I was extremely impressed with what this college had to offer. I was looking for a major in Child Psychology, a musical group to join, and a tennis team. I didn’ t want a typical “college experience” either. I wanted to be in an environment where my opinions and concerns mattered. I wanted to be able to have a voice on campus. Bay Path had all of these factors and offered me a spectacular financial package. So I made the decision to attend. Although I was very tentative about going to an all women’ s college, I am so glad I did. It has been a great experience so far.

What do you like to do outside of sports?

I love to sing. I used to take piano lessons in middle school, which transformed into voicelessons. I also play the clarinet, oboe, and the alto sax. I used to go to adjudications and auditions in my high school years. Now I sing with the select choir here on campus. I have also been given the honor of singing the Star-Spangled Banner at the beginning of every home game.

Do you plan on playing sports or coaching after you graduate next year?

I will play tennis for as long as I am physically able! I love the sport and if I get the opportunity, I would love to coach.

What is your most memorable moment as an athlete at Bay Path?

My most memorable moment was when I clinched a victory for my team after a long, closematch and they rushed onto the courts to congratulate me. It can feel very lonely during a singles match, but I always feel the support of my team encouraging me. It was a good feeling to know how much I am appreciated on my team.

What do you like the most about tennis?

I like the psychological aspect of tennis. The game is primarily mental for me. I just play my game and don’ t allow my opponent to “ get into my head.” I have found this to be a very valuable tool in the sport of tennis.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

I see myself as a practicing child psychologist, married to the love of my life, and finally comfortable with my living situation. I plan to keep working hard until I can achieve this vision!
