Wildcats to celebrate NCAA DIII Week April 13-19
Bay Path Univsrsity Athletics and the SAAC will clelbrate DIII Week with a series of activities and social media posts during the week.
Every year the NCAA celebrates its annual Division III Week on April 13 through April 19. Division III Week is an opportunity for individuals connected with Division III to celebrate the impact of athletics and student-athletes on the campus and community. With the cancellation of spring sports, Bay Path Athletics plans to celebrate Division III Week in a unique fashion.
The NECC and its Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) have partnered with Hope Happens Here, a student-run organization focused on raising awareness for mental health, and destigmatizing mental health issues on college campuses. Hope Happens Here "strives to spread awareness and 'start the conversation' on mental health issues and create positive change when addressing these issues."
SAAC will instead devote the week to a #LetsTalk social media campaign. The Hope Happens Here #LetsTalk campaign is aimed at creating an environment where student-athletes are looking out for the health and wellness of their teammates.
As well as the campaign, SAAC will be taking over the NECC Social media accounts on April 20 for DIII week!
