2008-2009 SAAC Events

Event: Athletic Sports Awards

Date: May 1, 2009

Place: Bay Path's Blake Student Commons

This event was held to acknowledge each of the sports teams and to announce the winners of the MVP, Most Improved, and Team Award to the athletes on each of the teams.  Many people attended this exciting event, including coaches, President Leary and Noel, athletic staff, and family and friends.

 

 

Event: National Women and Girls Sports Day

Date: April 16, 2009

Place: Bay Path College Campus

This event was held by the Softball Team to celebrate National Women and Girls Sport Day with girls from the Beal Elementary School.

 

Event: Drug and Alcohol Program

Date: April 2, 2009

Place: Bay Path's Blake Student Commons

Bay Path student-athletes had a meeting with Dr. Mark about how drugs and alcohol can affect student-athletes.

 

Event: Spring NECC Student-Athlete Conference

Date: March 22, 2009

Place: Becker College

SAAC board members from all the NECC colleges attended the spring in-person conference meeting.

 

 

Event: Hazing and Facebook

Date: February 22, 2009

Place: Bay Path's Blake Student Commons

Student Athletes listened to guest speaker Janet Judge talk about hazing in sports and how to protect oneself on facebook.

 

Event: Pink Out

Date: February 3, 2009

Place: HCC Basketball Court

Bay Path students, family and friends attended Pink Out Night at the girl's basketball game against Wheelock College. This event was to support breast cancer awareness.

 

Event: Power of Laughter

Date: November 17, 2008

Place: Bay Path's Blake Student Commons

This event was lead by guest speaker Gail Hand. All student athletes attended this event put on by SAAC.

 

 

Event: Fall NECC Student-Athlete Conference

Date: November 9, 2008

Place: Bay Path's Blake Student Commons

This was the conference's first in-person meeting as a new conference. SAAC board members from all the NECC colleges attended this event. They were able to hear from guest speaker Janet Judge.
