Wildcats Notch Third Spot in NECC Preseason Women's Tennis Poll

ATTLEBORO,Mass.-

Regis College was selected at the top the NECC women's tennis coaches poll in a vote conducted by the league's coaches. The Pride, led by 2012 NECC Co-Player of the Year Abigail Wehr, hope to defend their 2012 NECC Championship.

The 2011 champion Becker Hawks, who return five of their top six players in 2012, were selected to finish second with 28 points and one first place vote. NECC Co-Player of the Year Nicole Connolly returns to lead the Hawks having gone 9-1 in top singles action and 8-2 in top doubles action during her sophomore campaign.

Bay Path received 26 points and one first place vote. The Wildcats return all six starters including senior all-conference performer Symone Watson.
