Mount Ida Selected as Volleyball League Favorite
The NAC women's volleyball coaches have selected Mount Ida the favorite to win their fourth consecutive converence championship. Senior outside hitter Christina Nikolaidis, the 2003 NAC Player of the Year, will lead the Mustangs.
Lasell, who went undefeated in the regular season but fell to Mount Ida 3-2 in the NAC title match, received four first place votes and 111 points. Lasell won both the 2000 and 2001 NAC Championships and has appeared in the tournament title match each of the past two seasons. The Lasers will be led by 2004 NAC Rookie of the Year Allison Bianco and two-time first-team all-NAC honoree Angele Lavoie.
Maine-Farmington, who received two first place votes, will be challenged to replace 2004 NAC Player of the Year Jesse Andreozzi.
