Regis Unanimously Chosen as Pre-Season Favorites
ATTLEBORO, Mass. - Regis College was unanimously chosen as the 2014 New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Women's Tennis Coaches Poll, announced Tuesday evening. The Pride received a total of 36 points.
The Pride return five of the six starters from the 2013 season. Junior Jewel Medeiros, who earned All-NECC First Team honors in both singles and doubles as well as All-Tournament Team honors, returns alongside the 2013 NECC Rookie of the Year, Emily Rice, who returns for her sophomore season.
Bay Path University was selected second in the poll with 27 points. Senior Stephanie Morin, who was named to the All-NECC First Team, looks to lead the Wildcats as contenders in 2014.
Becker College finished third in the pre-season poll receiving 24 points while Lesley University was right behind in fourth with 20 points.
