Bay Path Ends Myrtle Beach Trip with 2 losses on Day 4

Game One Recap:

Bay Path University Goes Down on Final Play Against Penn State- Schuylkill 11-10
 
A walk-off left Bay Path University on the wrong end of an 11-10 defeat to Penn State- Schuylkill on Thursday.  The game was tied at ten with Penn State- Schuylkill batting in the bottom of the seventh when Maher singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.
 
Bay Path University fell behind by four runs in the third inning, but then tried to fight back.  Bay Path University managed six runs in the failed comeback. Olivia Stebbins, Madison Tessmer,  Emma Scheeren, Grace Ramsey, and Taylor Suffoletto came through with RBIs to lead the rally.
 
Bay Path University took an early lead in the second inning.  Scheeren doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.
 
After Bay Path University scored one run in the top of the sixth, Penn State- Schuylkill answered with one of their own.  Bay Path University scored when Ramsey singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.
 
Bay Path University notched four runs in the fifth inning.  Bay Path University batters contributing to the big inning included Stebbins, Tessmer, and Scheeren, who each had RBIs in the inning.
 
Penn State- Schuylkill scored five runs in the third inning.  McConnell, Maher,  Goggin, and Mcgroaty all drove in runs in the frame.
 
Walshaw earned the win for Penn State- Schuylkill. The ace went six and two-thirds innings, allowing ten runs on 15 hits and striking out four.
 
Isabella Ferrara took the loss for Bay Path University. The righty surrendered 11 runs on 13 hits over six and a third innings, striking out four.
 
Bay Path University tallied 15 hits on the day.  Tessmer, Caroline Austin, Carissa Church, Suffoletto, and Ramsey each had multiple hits for Bay Path University.  Austin and Tessmer each collected three hits to lead Bay Path University.
 
 
 

 Game Two Recap:

 Bay Path University Falls to Rochester University, (MI) 6-2
 
Rochester University, (MI) got things moving in the first inning, when Mcconnell doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.
 
Bay Path University knotted the game up at two in the bottom of the second inning.  Brooke Evanchak singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run.
 
Rochester University, (MI) pulled away for good with four runs in the fourth inning.  In the fourth Soares grounded out, scoring one run, Hall singled on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs, and Mcconnell singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.
 
Parnish was credited with the victory for Rochester University, (MI). The bulldog went seven innings, allowing two runs on five hits, striking out two and walking zero.
 
Grace Ramsey took the loss for Bay Path University. The pitcher went five innings, allowing six runs on nine hits and striking out one.
 
Olivia Stebbins went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Bay Path University in hits.
