Herring Leads Wildcats to 18-5 Victory over Daniel Webster

LONGMEADOW, Mass.—Junior attacker Kaylee Herring (Worcester, Vt.) topped all players with a season high seven goals and one assist to help the Wildcats rout the Eagles of Daniel Webster 18-to-5 this afternoon in another New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) women's lacrosse match at Ryan Field.  Bay Path is now 2-5 on the season and 1-4 in conference play, while Daniel Webster is 0-6 overall and 0-4 in the NECC.

Herring scored first at 26:30 on the clock off an assist from junior attacker Brenna Roy (Stafford Springs, Ct.). The Wildcats' freshman attacker Sydney Summers (Monson, Mass.) was next scoring on a free position shot. Herring would score the third and sixth goal at 11:37 on the clock which would become the eventual game winner.

The Eagles were led by senior attacker Madeline Roulier (Pittsfield, Mass.) with three goals and sophomore defender Amanda Hem (Lowell, Mass.) with two goals.

Roy finished four goals and two assists. Junior midfielder Elena Helming (Maplewood, N.J.) also had four goals and added one assist.   Sophomore defender Megan McKenna (Bennington, Vt.) scored two goals while pitching in one assist.  Summers had one goal and one assist, while freshman attacker Elizabeth Pavlidis (Torrington, Conn.) notched an assist.

Freshman goalkeeper Kristina Tran (Agawam, Mass.) picked up the win facing eight shots having three saves.  Sophomore keeper Diamond Majett (Philadelphia, Penn.) faced 30 shots nabbing 12 saves.

Bay Path will be back in action travelling to Becker on Thursday, April 13th for a 4:00 p.m. start, while Daniel Webster  will travel to Newbury on Wednesday, April 12th for a 7:00 p.m. night conference match.
