Newbury Sweeps Tri-Match

The Newbury College Nighthawks volleyball team opened up thte day by making quick work of the Wildcats of Bay Path College.  Newbury used 13 kills in game one to win by the score 30-15. The Nighthawks won game two 30-11 before pounding out ten kills in game three to close out the match by winning 30-18.

Trajara Laws (Sr, Easton, PA), again led the offense with 10 kills.  She also stuffed back 6 Wildcat kills.  Jadine Ferri (Sr, West Warwick, RI) anchored a very strong defense wtih 10 digs in the match.  Courtney Ledoux (Jr, Nashua, NH) chipped in with 8 digs and 4 aces.

The Wildcats were led by the strong net play of Amanda Bruce (Jr, Altamont, NY).  Bay Path dropped to 0-13 on the year.

In the second match of the day, the Wildcats took on the Sharks of Simmons College.  Simmons won the first game in very convincing fashion by winning by a score of 30-16.  Game two was much more of the same as the Sharks easily won by a score of 30-8.  Simmons closed out the match by winning game three by the score of 30-7.
