Bay Path Comes in 10th at Western New England College Cross Country Invitational

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Western New England College women's cross-country team placed third among 10 teams at its own WNEC Invitational Saturday morning (Oct. 16).


Endicott took the team title with Clark second, Colby-Sawyer fourth, and Castleton State fifth. Bard came in sixth followed by St. Joseph (CT), John Jay (NY), Elms, and Bay Path.

Bay Path's top runner was freshman Katrina Trajkovski (Wilbraham, Mass.) placing 74th with a time of 27:06. Sophomore Meagan Costello was next for Bay Path with a time of 29:02.  Sophomore Caitlin Reynolds (Worcester, MA.) and senior Molly Dower (Troy, NH.) were close behind, coming in 3rd and 4th for the Wildcats.  Finishing up for Bay Path were junior Brittany Castagna (Chester, MA.) and freshman Vanessa Conceicao (Enfield, CT.).

 Freshman Hannah Laviolette (Three Rivers, MA) was the Golden Bears' top finisher coming in 11th among 100 competitors. She had a time of 21 minutes, 21.72 seconds over the 5,000-meter campus course.


Senior Angela Koontz (Marblehead, MA) was 13th in 21:40.41 followed by freshman Maura McCusker (Westford, MA) who was 14th in 21:41.97.

Castleton State freshman Maggie Klein was the individual champion in 20:16.78.
