Griffith Earns NECC Rookie of the Week Honors

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Bay Path College freshman catcher/infielder Mercedes Griffith (Malden, Mass.) made an immediate impact in her first week of play with three homeruns in a 27-14 victory over Wheelock in a non-conference game. Griffith batted a sizzling .647, had a 1.412 on base percentage and a .667 slugging percentage in six games. She went 11-for-17 with nine runs, four doubles, three homers and 15 RBI. The Wildcats went 2-4 on their opening week with Griffith adding 1 sacrifice fly, one stolen base, 21 put-outs and only one error with a .957 fielding percentage.
