Goodhart pitches and hits the Wildcats to extra inning win
Myrtle Beach, S.C.- Fastpitch Dreams Tournament
Day 3-
The Bay Path University "Wildcats" defeated Principia College in eight innings in the afternoon game at the North Myrtle Beach Sports Complex 6-5.
The thrilling victory was highlighted by first year pitcher, Madison Goodhart (Pawtucket, RI) who got hersecond collegiate win. Goodhart scattered 11 hits and had 2 strikeouts in the game. The Wildcats started the come back victory scoring 3 runs in the bottom of the seventh with Lauren Vallee, (Bristol, Conn.) hitting a double driving in 2 runs. That led to the extra inning heroics as the lower part of the order worked their way on base with Goodhart delivering the final hit to plate the winning run.
Bay Path resumes play onThursday, 3/17/16 with a 9:30 game vs. Rutgers University-Camden followed by a 3:30 pm game against Albertus Magnus College.
