Game 1 Recap: Wildcats Dominate Valley Forge in 5 Innings 

On March 7, 2025, the Bay Path University Wildcats showed off their offense through a 12-3 victory over Valley Forge. The Wildcats delivered an impressive performance, both at the plate and on the mound.

Bay Path started strong, scoring five runs in the first inning, setting the tone for the rest of the game. Valley Forge managed to put three runs on the board in the first inning as well, but struggled to maintain momentum against Bay Path's relentless offense.

Valley Forge opened the scoring with a single by Wakeman, driving in Ragotzy. Page followed with a single that brought in two more runs. However, Bay Path quickly responded with a three-run double by Vera in the bottom of the first, followed by a single from Verrengia that scored Austin. Bay Path continued to extend their lead with consistent hitting throughout the game. In the second inning, Vera's single brought Tessmer home, and the Wildcats added three more runs in the third inning, highlighted by Tessmer's double and Sunderland's single. The Wildcats sealed their victory with a three-run fourth inning, capitalizing on Valley Forge's defensive errors and maintaining their offensive pressure.

Bay Path University Wildcats' comprehensive performance highlighted their offensive depth and pitching strength. With this victory, they demonstrated their potential as a formidable team in the season. 

 

Game 2 Recap: Albion College Gets the Win Over Bay Path University in a Close Match

Albion College faced off against Bay Path University Wildcats in a thrilling softball game that ended with a narrow victory for Albion College. The match began with a quiet first inning, as both teams struggled to make an impact. However, Albion College quickly found their rhythm in the second inning allowed Albion's S. Schoenborn, N. Kinney, and P. Douglas to score, giving Albion a 3-0 lead. Despite this setback, Bay Path's defense tightened, preventing further runs from Albion for the rest of the game.

Bay Path University Wildcats responded in the fourth inning. M. Sunderland hit a double, allowing A. Morrison to score, followed by M. Vera's single that brought Sunderland home, narrowing Albion's lead to 3-2. Despite their efforts, Bay Path couldn't overcome Albion's early advantage. Albion's G. Hirkaway was instrumental in maintaining their lead, pitching six innings. K. Miller closed the game, conceding two runs in the seventh inning but ultimately securing the victory. On the Wildcats' side, J. Boudreau pitched seven innings, allowing three unearned runs. Albion College's early offensive burst and strong pitching were key to their victory over Bay Path University Wildcats. Despite a valiant effort from the Wildcats, they were unable to overcome the deficit.
