Regis Takes Bay Path 6-0

CHICOPEE, Mass.— The Wildcats of Bay Path fell 6-0 to New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) opponent Regis College. The Pride had two players each score two goals in today's match played at the Blazer Field. Regis is now 4-4 overall and 2-0 in conference play, while Bay Path falls to 0-6 on the season and 0-2 in the NECC.

Sophomore forward Mackenzie Cattaruzza (Guilford, Conn.) score the first goal at 4:12 on the clock which would eventually become the game winner. Sophomore Aineen Callahan (Diamond Point, N.Y.) and senior forward Ashley Ryan (Mashpee, Mass.) both scored two goals.  Freshman midfielder Ashley Chipman (Stoughton, Mass.) tallied the sixth and final goal for the Pride at 61:21 on the clock.

Freshman midfielder Sabrinna Dubiel (Agawam, Mass.) had three shots and two on goal for the Wildcats. Junior goalkeeper Bethany Rogers (Plymouth, Mass.) suffered the loss facing 28 shots/21 on goal making 15 saves.

Two goalies shared duty for the Pride. Starting keeper junior Maresa Malcolm (Barrington, N.J.) garnered the win and shared the shut-out with sophomore Erin Moore (Rosedale, Md.).  They combined for six saves. The Wildcats due to injuries only fielded ten players for the match and still managed to 15 saves and nine shots for the contest.

The Wildcats will travel to Becker on October 5th for a 4:00 p.m. start, while Regis travels to Daniel Webster on the 5th for a 4:00 p.m. start as well.
