Bay Path student-athletes receive multiple Awards from USCAA DI Volleyball

The USCAA announced its National Awards for DI Volleyball on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 in a virtual ceremony.  Bay Path University took home a host of awards honoring its student-athletes in the classroom, campus, community and on the court.  These honors were presented and earned in the following areas: USCAA DI Academic All-Americans, USCAA DI All-American Teams and USCAA DI Student-Athlete of the Year. Six different student-athletes were recognized for their accomplishments during the ceremony.

Bay Path student-athletes honored with the USCAA DI Academic All-American recognition for their classroom excellence were: Lydia Clifford, Sr. Coventry, R.I. Forensic Science; Lisa Sikop, Sr., Easthampton, Mass., Forensic Science, Sophia Giza, So. Ludlow, Mass., Interior Design: Residential & Commercial, Renee Tautic, Jr. Suffield, Conn., Biology.  To earn this honor you needed to be a So., Jr, or Sr. with a CGPA of 3.5 or higher.

             

 

Bay Path student-athletes honored with the USCAA DI All-American recognition for their on court excellence were: First Team Lydia Clifford, Sr. S/OH; First Team Joanna Bampi Peabody, Mass., DS/L, and Honorable Mention Lilly Kibbe, Fr. OH. To earn this honor you needed to be selected by the coaches of the USCAA DI Volleyball membership.

       

The USCAA DI Student-Athlete of the Year is recognized for her many contributions in the different areas of the classroom, campus, community and court this year the award was presented to: Sophia Giza, So. Ludlow, Mass., Interior Design: Residential & Commercial.  Sophia was selected for this prestigious honor from among a talented list of nominees by a committee of USCAA staff, board and coaches of the USCAA DI Volleyball membership.

These awards were presented at the beginning of the USCAA National Championship Tournament games in, soccer, volleyball and cross-country.   Bay Path University will open up the tournament with a Pool Play DI Volleyball match on Thursday, 11/11 at 3 pm vs. Bluefield State College.  They will continue pool play on Friday, 11/12 at 11 am.
